Because clinic costs are largely in Turkish lira while patients typically pay in euros, dollars, or pounds, currency exchange rates amplify the price advantage for international visitors specifically.
Government support for the health tourism sector
Turkey's government has actively invested in positioning the country as a health tourism destination, including regulatory streamlining and infrastructure support, which has helped clinics scale efficiently and serve international patients at competitive prices.
Higher patient volume changes the economics
Clinics that see large numbers of international patients can invest in in-house labs, digital scanning equipment, and specialist teams that a smaller, lower-volume practice elsewhere might not be able to justify — improving both efficiency and, often, quality.
What this doesn't mean
A lower price doesn't mean lower standards by default — but it also doesn't guarantee quality automatically either. The clinic's actual certifications, implant brands, and warranty terms are what tell you about quality; the country-level price difference is a separate, structural economic story.
