Root Canal Cost in Turkey: What to Expect

Root canal treatment itself is one of the more affordable procedures

On its own, root canal therapy in Istanbul commonly runs in the range of roughly €130–170 per tooth, depending on how many canals the specific tooth has (front teeth typically have one, molars can have three or four).

Why molars can cost more than front teeth

A tooth with more canals takes longer to clean and fill thoroughly, which is reflected in the price. This isn't a mark-up — it genuinely takes more clinical time.

The additional cost people don't always plan for: the crown afterward

A tooth that's had root canal treatment is more prone to fracturing over time, so a protective crown is usually recommended afterward — and that's priced separately from the root canal itself. A full quote for the tooth should include both.

What a fiber post adds, and when it's needed

If a lot of the natural tooth structure is missing, a small fiber post is sometimes placed inside the canal before the crown, to give the restoration a stronger foundation. This adds a modest amount to the total, only when it's actually needed.

Comparing root canal cost to the alternative

Extracting the tooth and replacing it with an implant is a meaningfully larger cost than root canal plus crown, in most cases — which is part of why saving the natural tooth is usually the first option considered where clinically possible.

What to ask for in your quote

Ask whether the quote is for the root canal alone or includes the follow-up crown, and whether a fiber post is anticipated for your specific tooth. A dentist who's actually seen your X-ray can tell you this directly.
