Before booking any treatment abroad, a short, direct verification process is worth doing — most legitimate clinics welcome these questions, and hesitation to answer them is itself useful information.
1. Ask for the International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate (USTYB)
This is Turkey's official government authorization for treating international patients. A legitimate clinic will show you this document directly, not just describe having it.
2. Check the HealthTürkiye portal registration
Authorized clinics should be listed on Turkey's official health tourism portal. This is an independent way to cross-check a clinic's claims against a government-maintained record.
3. Ask which specific implant or material brands are used
A specific, named brand with a documented manufacturing history is a good sign. A vague answer like "premium European implants" without a specific brand name is worth pressing on further.
4. Ask whether the warranty is written, and what it actually covers
A verbal "lifetime guarantee" means little without a written document specifying exactly what's covered, for how long, and what happens if something needs attention after you've returned home.
5. Look for ISO or other international quality certifications
These are general quality management standards, not specific to dentistry, but they indicate a clinic has invested in formal, auditable processes rather than operating informally.
6. Ask who's actually planning your case
Your treatment plan should be built from your own scans and photos, reviewed by a dentist — not a generic package assigned before anyone has looked at your specific case.
