This is one of the most common questions for anyone planning dental treatment abroad, and the honest answer is: it depends heavily on what you're having done. Cosmetic work that doesn't involve implants can usually be completed in a single visit. Implant treatment almost always requires two.
Single-visit treatments (3–7 days)
Veneers, crowns, teeth whitening, and Hollywood Smile makeovers that don't involve implants are typically completed within one trip. Digital planning and scanning happen early in the visit, the restorations are designed and milled (often in-house), and fitting happens toward the end of the stay. Most patients budget five to seven days for this kind of case, though simpler ones can be faster.
Implant treatments (two visits, months apart)
Dental implants need time to fuse with the jawbone (a process called osseointegration) before a permanent crown or bridge can be attached — rushing this step risks the implant failing later. Because of this, implant cases are almost always split into two visits: a shorter first visit (often around five days) for the scan, surgery, and a temporary restoration, and a second visit several months later (usually four to six months, depending on the case) for the fitting of the final, permanent restoration.
All-on-4 / All-on-6 specifically
Full-arch implant cases follow the same two-visit pattern, but many patients leave the first visit with a temporary fixed bridge already in place — so you're not without teeth in the meantime, even though the case isn't finished until the second visit.
Planning around this
If you're combining treatments — for example implants plus a whitening or a few veneers — the additional cosmetic work is usually scheduled around the implant timeline rather than adding extra separate trips. A treatment plan from your dentist, based on your actual case, will give you exact expected dates rather than a general estimate.
